Rashford's Manchester United Future Remains Uncertain

Manchester United's caretaker boss Michael Carrick has stated that the club has not made any decisions regarding Marcus Rashford's future. The 28-year-old forward is currently on loan at Barcelona, with the Spanish club having a £26m option to buy. However, reports suggest that Barcelona may be hesitant to trigger the clause due to the high price tag. When questioned about the possibility of Rashford returning to United, Carrick refused to rule it out. Rashford has had a successful spell at Barcelona, scoring 12 goals and providing 13 assists in 43 appearances, despite a recent dip in form. The England international was dropped for the second leg of Barcelona's Champions League quarter-final defeat to Atletico Madrid. United are reportedly unwilling to renegotiate the fee with Barcelona, and are confident that they can receive a higher offer from another club if the Spanish side decides not to trigger the option to buy. Carrick also hinted that the club may strengthen their left-wing options in the summer transfer window, with RB Leipzig's Yan Diomande and Everton's Iliman Ndiaye reportedly being monitored by the club.
