Canadian boxer Ryan Rozicki, known for his formidable punching power, has inked a multi-fight contract with Zuffa Boxing. This signing marks a significant addition to the company's cruiserweight division, which already boasts an impressive lineup including champion Jai Opetaia, former titleholder Chris Billam-Smith, and top contender Brandon Glanton.
Rozicki's professional record is highlighted by 21 victories, with all but one of these wins coming by way of knockout. His sole defeat was at the hands of heavyweight contender Oscar Rivas in 2021. Since then, Rozicki has remained unbeaten in nine consecutive fights, often competing in front of sold-out crowds in his native Nova Scotia.
Notably, he fought for the WBC interim title in a 2024 rematch against Yamil Alberto Peralta, which ended in a draw. Rozicki's most recent victory was a second-round knockout of Gerardo Mellado in March. 'I'm thrilled to begin this new chapter and be a part of what Zuffa is building,' Rozicki expressed.
'My team has worked tirelessly to get me to this point, ensuring everything is in place for me to succeed at the highest level. This is a massive platform, and I'm eager to get to work and make a statement.' The details of Rozicki's debut fight with Zuffa Boxing are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
