Rashford's Manchester United Future Remains Uncertain
Manchester United's interim manager, Michael Carrick, has stated that no decision has been made regarding Marcus Rashford's future at Old Trafford. The 28-year-old forward is currently on loan at Barcelona, with a £26m option to buy clause in his contract. However, Barcelona are reportedly hesitant to make the deal permanent at that price. When asked about the possibility of Rashford returning to Manchester United, Carrick did not rule it out. Rashford has scored 12 goals and assisted 13 in 43 appearances for Barcelona, but his recent performances have been under scrutiny. Manchester United are confident they can receive a higher fee for Rashford from other clubs if Barcelona refuse to pay the agreed-upon price. The club is expected to strengthen their left-wing position ahead of next season's potential return to European competition, with RB Leipzig's Yan Diomande and Everton's Iliman Ndiaye being monitored as potential targets. Carrick revealed that conversations regarding recruitment have taken place, but concrete talks will occur at a later time.
