DeChambeau Pulls Out of LIV Golf Mexico City Due to Injury

Bryson DeChambeau has withdrawn from the LIV Golf tournament in Mexico City, citing a wrist injury that he sustained during the third round. DeChambeau, who has won two LIV Golf events this season, was 16 strokes behind leader Jon Rahm at the time of his withdrawal. In a statement, DeChambeau expressed his disappointment and announced his decision to pull out to avoid further aggravating the injury. He hopes to be back in action for the LIV Golf Virginia event. DeChambeau's withdrawal comes at a time when the LIV Golf League is facing uncertainty over its future, with reports suggesting that the Saudi Public Investment Fund may be ending its financial support. Despite this, LIV Golf chief executive Scott O'Neil has stated that the league is 'funded through the season' and will work to secure its future beyond that. The next LIV Golf League event is scheduled to take place in Virginia from May 7-10.
