Following a remarkable eight consecutive wins, Nicky Richards is set to field three horses at Hexham for Monday's National Hunt racing. Jamesieconn, chasing a fourth straight victory for the in-form Richards team, headlines the trio in the Mick Walsh Open Ditch Handicap Chase. This seven-year-old has shown a preference for the three-mile distance and good ground, as evident in his recent win at Carlisle, and will now face a 5lb weight increase to a mark of 100. Despite the added weight, Jamesieconn may still rise to the challenge under Danny McMenamin. Streamsforth Lad, who has yet to secure a win in 18 starts, will also participate, having shown improvement in his recent outing at Bangor. Meanwhile, Stuart Coltherd's Rightbackatyou, who finished behind Scottish King over this course and distance, seeks to capitalize on Coltherd's recent success with a level-stakes profit of +298 over the last two weeks. Young Getaway will make his chasing debut in the Anthony Woods Electrical Lightning Bolt Handicap Chase, attempting to extend Richards' winning streak. That One, also making his debut over fences, will be ridden by Jack Power, who claims 5lbs, effectively reducing the seven-year-old's mark to 105. The Lucinda Russell and Michael Scudamore partnership will field Heads Or Harps and Choose A Copper, with the former having been consistently placing in recent starts. Grant Wood, trained by Paul Midgley, returns to Gosforth Park, where he has enjoyed success in his previous visits. Wicket Keeper, successful twice over six furlongs, finished fourth in his latest outing over this course and distance. Paddy's Day will wear a tongue-tie for the first time under Nigel Tinkler, while Albasheer, a previous Constantine Handicap winner, will be ridden by Hollie Doyle. Gardener, who won more convincingly than the winning distance suggested last time out, returns for the Happy Retirement Maurice & Anne Barnes Handicap Hurdle at 4.30pm.
