Baumgardner Sets Sights on Super Fights Against Taylor, Serrano, and Mayer
Unified super-featherweight champion Alycia Baumgardner is on the hunt for the sport's biggest names, with Katie Taylor, Amanda Serrano, and Mikaela Mayer at the top of her list. 'Those are all three great fights. Let's get them all,' Baumgardner said, prioritizing these bouts over a potential match against Britain's unified lightweight world champion Caroline Dubois. Baumgardner believes Dubois is not yet ready for a fight, saying, 'I am chasing the biggest fights. Dubois is not ready. Is she hungry? Absolutely. Am I ducking smoke? No.' Before pursuing these high-profile fights, Baumgardner must first defend her WBA, WBO, and IBF super-featherweight titles against Bo Mi Re Shin at the Madison Square Garden Theater in New York. Baumgardner is confident in her abilities, stating, 'One thing about Bo is that she's coming to fight. She is a warrior, just as I know she is. But I'm hungrier, and I'm meaner, and I'm just sharper.' Shin, however, is determined to ruin Baumgardner's plans, saying, 'Alycia was my goal. She has always been, but now it's time to take her belts for me.' The challenger has expressed respect for Baumgardner's boxing style but believes she has more perseverance and will prove it in the fight.
