Green was stopped in the ninth round after Daniels unleashed a flurry of punches, prompting the referee to intervene. Green was subsequently transported out of the ring on a stretcher.
In a social media post, Green revealed that she had lost consciousness due to brain bleeding but was on the path to recovery in the ICU. She expressed gratitude to those who showed concern and her promoter, Nakisa Bidarian, for their support during her hospital stay. Green's promoter, Most Valuable Promotions, also released a statement, thanking the relevant authorities and medical staff for their care and assistance. Green had previously made headlines with her upset victory over Britain's Savannah Marshall, making her a potential opponent for the undisputed champion Claressa Shields.
