This week, Sky Sports Racing ambassador Hollie Doyle will be in action at the Craven meeting in Newmarket, with a notable ride on the promising Derby contender Wareeth in the Listed Feilden Stakes. On Wednesday, Doyle's standout ride at the Craven Meeting, Wareeth, trained by Archie Watson, will compete in the Listed Feilden Stakes. The additional furlong in the race is expected to suit the Sea The Stars colt, who is taking a significant step up in class after his impressive 14-length victory in a novice race over 1m at Newcastle last month.
Although Wareeth does not currently hold a Derby entry, he has shown great promise since his debut, and his performance in the Feilden Stakes will be closely watched. The race also features Aidan O'Brien's Isaac Newton, who has a Derby entry and boasts an official rating of 106, having won his maiden at Goodwood and finished fourth in the Group 1 Criterium de Saint-Cloud. Another contender, Poseidon's Warrior, trained by Godolphin, will also be making the leap from novice company. All three colts are entered in the traditional Derby trial, the Group 2 Dante at York, next month.
Doyle will also ride ZOULU CHIEF in the Weatherbys With Venatour Racing Handicap on Wednesday, expecting a strong performance from the sprinter, who has been busy on the All-Weather over the winter. Approaching his prime as a five-year-old, ZOULU CHIEF looks every bit a 90 horse. Doyle has also ridden work on Jane Chapple-Hyam's outsider HARLEQUIN BREEZE and believes she is worth her place in the Group 3 Lanwades Stud Nell Gwyn Stakes on Wednesday. Despite being a maiden after three starts, Harlequin Breeze has improved with every run and impressed Doyle with her determination.
IMPOSSIBLE MISSION needs to prove himself on turf in the National Stud Handicap on Wednesday, receiving weight from all his rivals. Meanwhile, Des Donovan's LADY FIZZ will make her debut in the Molson Coors British EBF Maiden Fillies' Stakes, taking on fillies from powerful yards over 1m.
On Thursday, Doyle will ride Marco Botti's Shergar Cup winner PRINCE OF INDIA in the Zyn Abernant Stakes, expecting a strong performance from the powerfully built colt. Doyle is also looking forward to riding Hawk Mountain in the Group 3 Betway Craven Stakes, expecting a winning return from the Group 1 winner.
Another favourite of Doyle's, Karl Burke's Boiling Point, will return to turf in the Group 3 Betway Earl Of Sefton Stakes on Wednesday, aiming to establish himself as a genuine Pattern performer this season.
