England's front row has been dealt a significant blow with the loss of Hannah Botterman and May Campbell to injury, ahead of the Guinness Women's Six Nations. Botterman requires a second operation on an ankle injury sustained while playing for Bristol in December, while Campbell will undergo knee surgery next week. Furthermore, number eight Alex Matthews will miss the upcoming match against Scotland due to a shoulder issue. In response, Delaney Burns and Liz Crake have been added to the squad as replacements.

These injuries are in addition to the previously announced losses of lock Morwenna Talling and scrum-half Natasha Hunt, who will both miss the remainder of the tournament with leg injuries. The team is also without several World Cup winners, including Zoe Stratford, Abbie Ward, and Rosie Galligan, who are all currently unavailable.
