Hamilton's Revitalized Form Sparks Optimism for the Season

Former Formula 1 world champion Nigel Mansell believes Lewis Hamilton has regained his momentum this season. Hamilton recently ended his 16-month podium drought with a third-place finish at the Chinese Grand Prix, marking his first rostrum finish since joining Ferrari in 2025. He has also significantly closed the gap with teammate Charles Leclerc in terms of pace, a considerable improvement from the previous year. According to Mansell, the new regulations seem to favor Hamilton's driving style, and he doesn't rule out the possibility of Hamilton securing a race win this season. "Lewis is fired up again, and it's fantastic to see him performing so well," Mansell stated. Hamilton attributes his return to form to better preparation and the fact that the new car suits his driving style more. When he joined Ferrari last year, the car wasn't tailored to his needs, but this year's car has incorporated some of the changes he requested. Mansell thinks the current season could become a two-horse race between Mercedes drivers George Russell and Kimi Antonelli, and he advises Russell to use his experience to win the intra-team battle.
