At 19, Atang is preparing for his sixth professional fight in Liverpool, boasting a 100% knockout ratio. However, he emphasizes that his progression will differ from Itauma's. Atang stated, "I'm not trying to be the next Moses Itauma, I'm going to be myself. Everyone has their own pace, and I'll plot my own course to the top of the heavyweight division." A potential showdown with Itauma is inevitable, but Atang believes time is on their side.
"It'll happen when the time's right, there's no rush for either of us. We can build our names, and when the time's right, it'll be a massive fight," Atang said. He acknowledges the pressure to live up to Itauma's accomplishments, but remains focused on his own development.
Atang's goal is to become a world champion, and he's confident that he's on the right path. "I know I'm not yet ready to call out big names, but when the time comes, it'll be exciting to get into some big fights in the heavyweight division," he added.
