The match was closely contested in the first set, with both players exchanging breaks before Rybakina's experience paid off, allowing her to take a 1-0 lead.
From there, Rybakina took control, winning the first five games of the second set to secure a comfortable win. 'It feels amazing, I'm really happy,' Rybakina said after the match.
'I missed this tournament last year, so I'm thrilled to be in the final.' Rybakina had a late night on Friday, not going to bed until 2am after her quarter-final match against Leylah Fernandez lasted over three hours. Despite the short rest, Rybakina was pleased with her performance, saying, 'I'm pretty happy with how I played after a three-hour match yesterday.' She added, 'I will try to give it my all and use up all my energy tomorrow.' Earlier in the day, Flavio Cobolli secured his spot in the ATP 500 Munich final with a 6-3 6-3 win over world No 3 Alexander Zverev. Cobolli, who fired 32 winners and lost just eight points on his first serve, will play Ben Shelton in the final on Sunday, live on Sky Sports Tennis from 2pm.
'It was one of my best matches ever, against one of my closest friends on the Tour,' Cobolli said. 'But today, I think I played an exceptional match, and I'm really happy with my performance.' Cobolli's victory makes him the third player this season to reach ATP Tour finals on both clay and hard courts, joining Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz. He also moves up to 12th in the live ATP rankings as he pursues his fourth ATP Tour title and third at ATP 500 level.
