Pattinson's Journey Back to the Top
Cyrus Pattinson is on a mission to revive his career, set to face Tunde Segun Adeyemi in Newcastle this Saturday. A former top GB amateur boxer, Pattinson turned pro in 2021, winning his first six fights and establishing a large fanbase. However, a loss to Conah Walker in 2023 led to a tough road back, with Pattinson struggling with a severe eye injury and finding himself without a promoter, manager, or trainer. At his lowest point, Pattinson described his situation as 'rock bottom,' where he was just trying to survive each day. He has since found a new home at Billy Nelson's gym in Glasgow and, after three consecutive wins, is now focused on his upcoming fight. Pattinson aims to target the British and Commonwealth welterweight titles after his next bout, with his trainer expressing confidence in his ability to compete at the domestic level. Despite his past struggles, Pattinson remains optimistic, knowing he has the capability to beat anyone in the welterweight division.
