Shadasia Green Receives Medical Attention for Brain Hemorrhage Following Loss to Lani Daniels

Following her loss to Lani Daniels in New York, Shadasia Green was treated for a brain hemorrhage. Green had been competing against Daniels, a former heavyweight champion, for the unified IBF and WBO super-middleweight titles at the Madison Square Garden Theater. The referee intervened at the start of the ninth round, stopping the fight after Daniels landed a series of shots, and Green was subsequently taken from the ring on a stretcher. Green took to social media to update her fans, stating: "I lost consciousness due to a brain bleed. However, I am currently in the ICU and on the path to recovery. I will return to claim what is mine, 100 percent." Green had previously become a unified world champion by defeating Britain's Savannah Marshall in an upset last year, making her a potential opponent for the US star Claressa Shields, a multi-weight undisputed champion. Green expressed her gratitude, saying: "I want to thank everyone who showed concern and even those who realized something was wrong during the fight." She also appreciated the support of her promoter, Nakisa Bidarian, and Most Valuable Promotions, who were by her side in the hospital.
