Caluori Scores Five Tries as Saracens Achieve Record-Breaking Win Over Sale

Noah Caluori achieved another impressive feat, scoring five tries against Sale, as Saracens secured a remarkable 85-19 win, their largest margin of victory in the Prem. The 19-year-old winger had previously scored five tries in his first Prem start for Mark McCall's team against Sale last October. Saracens dominated the first half, scoring six unanswered tries to lead 38-0 at the break, exposing Sale's defensive weaknesses. Rotimi Segun initiated the scoring, followed by Caluori's first try, and Tom Willis, Rhys Carre, Fergus Burke, and Caluori's second try ensured Saracens' control. In the second half, Tom O'Flaherty scored two tries for Sale, but Saracens responded with seven more tries, including three from Caluori, to seal their bonus-point win. This victory brings Saracens within nine points of fourth-placed Exeter, while Sale suffered their 10th defeat in 13 league games, slipping to seventh place. The Sharks' disappointing season continues, having been eliminated from the Champions Cup by Leinster last Saturday. Saracens' winning streak began with Segun's try in the second minute, followed by Caluori's first try in the 11th minute, and continued with Willis, Carre, Burke, and Caluori's subsequent tries. Sale improved after the break but were unable to catch up, with O'Flaherty's try in the 44th minute being their only respite before Caluori's hat-trick score. Caluori's fourth and fifth tries, along with those from Michelow, Malins, and Earl, sealed Saracens' record-breaking win, with Burke ending the game with nine conversions and Owen Farrell adding one. Sale had the final say with Opoku-Fordjour's try, converted by George Ford.
