Canadian Cruiserweight Ryan Rozicki Joins Zuffa Boxing Roster

Canadian boxer Ryan Rozicki, known for his formidable punching power, has inked a multi-fight contract with Zuffa Boxing. Rozicki, nicknamed 'The Bruiser', bolsters the company's already impressive cruiserweight lineup, which features champion Jai Opetaia, former titleholder Chris Billam-Smith, and top contender Brandon Glanton. With 21 professional wins, all but one by knockout, Rozicki has established himself as a force to be reckoned with in the world of boxing. His only loss came at the hands of Oscar Rivas, a seasoned heavyweight contender, in 2021. Since then, Rozicki has remained unbeaten in nine consecutive fights, often competing in front of sold-out crowds in Nova Scotia. In 2024, he fought to a draw with Yamil Alberto Peralta for the WBC interim title. Rozicki's notable victories include a win over Olanrewaju Durodola, who had previously gone the distance with Richard Riakporhe and Ilunga Makabu in a world title bout. His most recent fight took place in March, where he secured a second-round knockout against Gerardo Mellado. Rozicki expressed his enthusiasm for joining Zuffa Boxing, stating, 'I'm excited for this new chapter and the opportunity to be part of what Zuffa is building. My team has done a fantastic job getting me to this point, and I'm ready to make a statement on this big platform.' The details of Rozicki's Zuffa Boxing debut are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
