Crystal Palace Overcome Fiorentina Comeback to Secure Conference League Semi-Final Spot

Crystal Palace have advanced to the semi-finals of the Conference League, defeating Fiorentina 4-2 on aggregate. Despite losing the second leg 2-1 in Florence, the Eagles' 3-0 win at Selhurst Park in the first leg proved decisive. Ismaila Sarr's early header put Palace in control, but Fiorentina fought back with goals either side of injury substitutions for Adam Wharton and Maxence Lacroix. Although Fiorentina's second-leg display was an improvement on their underwhelming first-leg performance, it was not enough to prevent Palace from reaching their first European semi-final. They will face Shakhtar Donetsk in the last four, with the first leg scheduled for April 30 and the second leg on May 7. Palace are the fifth English club to reach the Conference League semi-finals, joining Chelsea, West Ham, Leicester, and Aston Villa. Palace goalkeeper Dean Henderson praised the team's resilience, saying, 'This is unbelievable for this football club... The fans have stuck by us in the difficult times this season and hopefully we can deliver them something really special.'
