Alycia Baumgardner is on the hunt for the sport's most prominent fighters. The unified super-featherweight champion has set her sights on Katie Taylor, Amanda Serrano, and Mikaela Mayer. 'These are all fantastic matchups. I'm eager to take them on,' Baumgardner stated.
For the American boxer, these opponents are a higher priority than Britain's unified lightweight world champion, Caroline Dubois. 'I'm focused on the biggest fights. Dubois isn't ready yet, but I'm not avoiding her. I'm committed to taking on the toughest opponents, and our fight will happen when the time is right,' Baumgardner explained.
Before pursuing these high-profile bouts, Baumgardner will first defend her WBA, WBO, and IBF super-featherweight titles against Bo Mi Re Shin at the Madison Square Garden Theater in New York. 'Bo is a fierce competitor, but I'm hungrier and more determined,' Baumgardner said. 'I've proven I can go the distance, and now I want to unleash my more aggressive side.' Shin, however, is determined to ruin Baumgardner's plans.
'Alycia has always been my target, and now it's time for me to take her titles,' Shin stated. 'I have immense respect for Baumgardner's skills, but I believe my perseverance will give me the edge I need.'
