Canadian cruiserweight Ryan Rozicki, also known as 'The Bruiser', has inked a multi-fight contract with Zuffa Boxing, bolstering their already impressive cruiserweight division. This division includes names like champion Jai Opetaia, former titleholder Chris Billam-Smith, and top contender Brandon Glanton.
Rozicki boasts an impressive record with 21 professional wins, 20 of which were knockouts. His only loss came at the hands of veteran heavyweight contender Oscar Rivas in 2021. Since then, Rozicki has remained unbeaten in nine consecutive fights, often performing in front of sold-out crowds in his native Nova Scotia.
Notably, he fought for the WBC interim title in a 2024 rematch against Yamil Alberto Peralta, which ended in a draw. One of his notable victories was against Olanrewaju Durodola, a fighter who had previously gone the distance with notable boxers Richard Riakporhe and Ilunga Makabu. Rozicki's most recent bout was in March, where he secured a second-round knockout against Gerardo Mellado. 'I'm looking forward to this new chapter and being part of Zuffa's vision,' Rozicki stated.
