Glasgow's Champions Cup Hopes Dashed by Toulon in Quarter-Final

The Glasgow Warriors' bid to reach their first Investec Champions Cup semi-final was thwarted by a 22-19 loss to RC Toulon at Scotstoun. A trademark run by Kyle Steyn pushed Glasgow back into Toulon territory, but Sione Tuipulotu was held up just short of the line. Toulon's ill-discipline led to Junior Kpoku being yellow-carded, and Glasgow capitalized with McDowall picking out Ollie Smith for a brilliant try. Glasgow regained the lead in the second half with Gregor Hiddleston stretching for the line, but Toulon broke through with Nacho Brex scoring a decisive try. Leinster Rugby also secured their place in the semi-finals with a 43-13 win over Sale Sharks, scoring six tries to set up a clash against Toulon.
