Cyrus Pattinson is making a comeback from his lowest point as he prepares to continue his career resurgence in Newcastle this weekend. Pattinson found himself without a promoter, manager, or trainer, and was struggling with a severe eye injury that threatened to end his career. The situation was dire, and Pattinson has since spoken about the dark times he faced, including dealing with depression and finding a way to get through each day. "It was rock bottom," he said. "I was just trying to survive the day, living by the motto of one more day, getting through the day wherever I was." Pattinson has since found a new lease on life, training with Billy Nelson in Glasgow, where he has racked up three consecutive wins. He is now set to face Tunde Segun Adeyemi at the Vertu Motors Arena in Newcastle on Saturday. "I've got a tough opponent in front of me, but I'm ready for the challenge," Pattinson said. "I always give it my all and wear my heart on my sleeve. I'm a fighter who puts everything into every bout, and I know I can beat anyone." Pattinson's loss to Walker now looks more respectable, given Walker's recent success, including a knockout win over Olympic silver medalist Pat McCormack. Pattinson's trainer, Billy Nelson, is confident in his fighter's abilities, saying: "Cyrus has improved significantly, and I believe he can compete at the domestic level, if not European." Pattinson is focused on his next fight, but his long-term goal is to challenge for the British and Commonwealth welterweight titles.
