Augusta National Golf Tournament Results

The final standings for the Masters golf tournament, the first major event of the year, have been revealed, with the competition taking place at the prestigious Augusta National course in Augusta, Georgia. Rory McIlroy successfully defended his title, making history by becoming the first player to do so since Tiger Woods. McIlroy's victory came after a thrilling playoff win over Justin Rose the previous year, earning him a place in history as the sixth player to achieve a career Grand Slam. World number one Scottie Scheffler was the pre-tournament favorite but ultimately finished a shot behind McIlroy, who carded a one-under 71. Tyrrell Hatton, Justin Rose, Cameron Young, and Russell Henley were tied for third place, while Collin Morikawa and Sam Burns shared seventh position. Max Homa and Xander Schauffele completed the top 10. The Masters is the first of four major golf tournaments in as many months, followed by the PGA Championship, the US Open, and the Open Championship. The PGA Tour now moves on to the RBC Heritage at Hilton Head Island, where Justin Thomas will defend his title.
