Injury Blow for England as Botterman and Campbell Withdraw from Women's Six Nations

England's team is facing additional challenges due to injuries to key players, with Hannah Botterman and May Campbell being the latest to be sidelined from the Guinness Women's Six Nations. Botterman requires a second surgery for an ankle injury she sustained in December while playing for Bristol, and Campbell will undergo knee surgery next week. Furthermore, Alex Matthews, a number eight, will miss the upcoming match against Scotland due to a shoulder issue she incurred during the 33-12 win over Ireland. To address these losses, Delaney Burns from Bristol Bears and Liz Crake from Saracens have been added to John Mitchell's squad. These injuries come on the heels of the announcement that lock Morwenna Talling and scrum-half Natasha Hunt would also miss the remainder of the Six Nations due to leg injuries. The team is already without several World Cup winners, including Zoe Stratford, Abbie Ward, and Rosie Galligan, who are expecting and will be out for the foreseeable future.
