Augusta National Final Results: Masters Leaderboard

The final standings from the Masters, the year's inaugural major tournament, have been released, showcasing the competition at Augusta National in Augusta, Georgia. Rory McIlroy successfully defended his title, making history in the process, after entering the tournament as the reigning champion following his playoff win over Justin Rose the previous year. This achievement marked McIlroy as the sixth player to complete the career Grand Slam, a feat last accomplished by Tiger Woods. Despite being the pre-tournament favorite, Scottie Scheffler, the world's number one golfer, was narrowly beaten by McIlroy, who posted a one-under 71 to secure a one-shot lead. Tyrrell Hatton trailed behind in a tie for third place alongside Justin Rose, Cameron Young, and Russell Henley, while Collin Morikawa and Sam Burns shared seventh position. The top 10 was rounded out by Max Homa and Xander Schauffele. The Masters, the first of four major tournaments in as many months, featured a field of 91 players. The PGA Championship, scheduled for May 14-17, will be the next major tournament, followed by the US Open and The Open in June and July, respectively. In the meantime, the PGA Tour will head to South Carolina for the RBC Heritage, where Justin Thomas will defend his title.
