Jamie Murray, the renowned British doubles player, has announced his retirement from professional tennis, marking the end of an illustrious 36-year journey. Murray, who rose to world No 1 in doubles, has won seven Grand Slam titles and was instrumental in Great Britain's 2015 Davis Cup triumph.
The 40-year-old, who has recently been working as a pundit for Sky Sports Tennis, expressed his gratitude for the experiences and support he received throughout his career. With 34 doubles titles, including two Wimbledon mixed doubles victories, Murray has left an indelible mark on the sport. He will now take on the role of tournament director at the HSBC Championships at Queen's Club.
