Sammie Szmodics Released from Hospital After Collision

Republic of Ireland's Sammie Szmodics has been discharged from a Prague hospital following a head injury sustained during the World Cup play-off against the Czech Republic. The 24-year-old forward, on loan at Derby from Ipswich, was knocked unconscious in a collision with defender Stepan Chaloupek and spent the night under observation. After further tests, Szmodics has been safely released and will continue his recovery under the care of the Republic of Ireland and Derby County medical teams. He expressed gratitude to the medical staff and fans on social media, stating he is 'on the mend'.
