Bromley Achieves Historic Promotion to League One

For the first time in their 132-year history, Bromley has earned a promotion to League One, achieving this feat with two games remaining in the season. Despite recent setbacks, including a loss to MK Dons and a draw with Cambridge, the team's position was secured after Notts County's defeat to Barnet. Founded in 1892, Bromley reached the EFL in just their second season, a testament to the club's determination and hard work under the leadership of boss Andy Woodman. Currently seven points ahead of fourth-placed Salford, Bromley will finish the season with matches against Salford and Walsall. According to Sky Sports' EFL Editor Simeon Gholam, "It took Bromley 132 years to reach the Football League, and just two years to advance from League Two to League One. This is a remarkable achievement for a small community club that has relied on graft, togetherness, and endeavor rather than significant financial investment." The club's home, Hayes Lane, which has a capacity of just over 6,000, will now host League One football, including teams that have played in the Premier League and Europe. The rise of Bromley has been nothing short of remarkable, with Dave Edwards of the Sky Sports Essential EFL podcast describing it as "one of the most wonderful community football clubs" he has visited, praising Andy Woodman for creating something special and engaging the fanbase.
