Monday's Hexham Racing: Nicky Richards Seeks to Extend Winning Streak

Following a remarkable run of eight consecutive victories, Nicky Richards is set to send three horses to Hexham for Monday's National Hunt racing event. Jamesieconn, chasing a fourth consecutive win, is among the contenders, having previously demonstrated a preference for the three-mile distance and good ground when winning at Carlisle. The seven-year-old has since been bumped up 5lbs to a mark of 100, which may prove to be a challenge, but don't be surprised if Danny McMenamin's mount rises to the occasion once again. Streamsforth Lad, despite having placed in various hurdle and chase events, is yet to secure a win, and Stuart Coltherd's Rightbackatyou will also be competing. Nicky Richards' Young Getaway will make his chasing debut in the Anthony Woods Electrical Lightning Bolt Handicap Chase, while That One, who was previously defeated by Young Getaway, will also be making his debut over fences. The Lucinda Russell and Michael Scudamore partnership will field two runners, including the consistent Heads Or Harps, and Choose A Copper. Grant Wood, trained by Paul Midgley, returns to Gosforth Park, where he has enjoyed success in the past, and Wicket Keeper, Paddy's Day, and Albasheer will also be in action. Gardener, who won his last outing, will return for the Happy Retirement Maurice & Anne Barnes Handicap Hurdle at 4:30 pm.
