Conor Benn has officially signed a multi-fight, multi-year agreement with Zuffa Boxing, following a successful collaboration for his recent 10-round victory over former two-time world champion Regis Prograis at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. This marks Benn's third consecutive bout at the football ground, having previously engaged in two epic fights with Chris Eubank Jr. Benn had revived his family's rivalry with the Eubanks in two bouts last year, moving up to middleweight and losing the first but delivering the British fight of the year, before securing a decision victory in the rematch. He then dropped down in weight to face Prograis at 150lbs, as he pursues major fights in the welterweight division.
Zuffa Boxing's head, Dana White, has confirmed that Benn has joined on a two-and-a-half-year deal comprising five fights. White expressed his excitement about the deal, stating that he likes Benn personally and professionally. Benn had initially signed a one-fight deal with Zuffa Boxing, but after a positive experience, he has now committed to a longer-term partnership. Benn's decision to leave Eddie Hearn's Matchroom Boxing after nearly a decade to join Dana White's new promotional powerhouse has sent shockwaves through the industry.
Benn expressed his excitement about the deal, stating that Zuffa Boxing shares his vision for the future and that he is eager to give the public the fights they want, particularly now that he is in the prime of his career at 29 years old.
