England Can Achieve Greatness Under Borthwick, Says Itoje

Maro Itoje has expressed his unwavering support for England head coach Steve Borthwick, emphasizing the team's potential to accomplish remarkable feats under his guidance, despite a disappointing Six Nations campaign. England's performance was marred by four consecutive defeats, including a historic loss to Italy, resulting in a fifth-place finish. However, RFU chief executive Bill Sweeney has hinted that Borthwick will be given the opportunity to lead the team in the upcoming Nations Championship, with the goal of orchestrating a turnaround. If Borthwick can deliver a satisfactory performance against South Africa, Fiji, and Argentina in July, he is likely to remain in his position until the 2027 Rugby World Cup in Australia. Itoje acknowledges that England fell short of expectations in the Six Nations, but he believes in the coaching staff, including Borthwick, Richard Wigglesworth, Kevin Sinfield, Joe Shaw, and Lee Blackett. The England captain remains optimistic, stating, 'We believe in what we're doing... We just need to get together as a team, learn the lessons, and move forward.' Itoje's faith in the team remains unshaken, and he is confident that they will achieve great things in the future.
