Hollie Doyle's Blog: High Hopes for Derby Prospect Wareeth

As I prepare for a busy week of racing at Newmarket's Craven meeting, I'm excited to partner with the promising colt Wareeth in the Listed Feilden Stakes, a key test for Derby aspirants. My mount, trained by Archie Watson, will be facing a significant step up in class after his impressive 14-length win in a novice race at Newcastle last month. Although he doesn't currently hold a Derby entry, his performance has been delightful, and I'm eager to see how he handles the extra furlong. Wareeth will be competing against Aidan O'Brien's experienced Isaac Newton, who boasts a Derby entry and an official rating of 106, as well as Godolphin's Poseidon's Warrior, another novice making the leap to listed company. Both Wareeth and Poseidon's Warrior are also entered in the Group 2 Dante at York, a traditional Derby trial. In other races, I'll be riding Zoulou Chief in the Weatherbys With Venatour Racing Handicap, where he'll look to build on his recent All-Weather wins, including a victory at Wolverhampton. I've also had the chance to work with Jane Chapple-Hyam's outsider Harlequin Breeze, who shows promise for the Group 3 Lanwades Stud Nell Gwyn Stakes despite being a maiden after three starts. Impossible Mission will need to demonstrate his turf prowess in the National Stud Handicap, while Lady Fizz makes her debut in the Molson Coors British EBF Maiden Fillies' Stakes. Later in the week, I'll partner with Marco Botti's Prince Of India in the Zyn Abernant Stakes and Hawk Mountain in the Group 3 Betway Craven Stakes, with high expectations for both. Boiling Point, another favorite of mine, will return to turf in the Group 3 Betway Earl Of Sefton Stakes, seeking to establish himself as a Pattern performer this season.
