Benn: Garcia Remains Top Priority, but Other Boxing Stars Are Eager for a Fight

Conor Benn has stated that securing a WBC title fight against Ryan Garcia is his primary objective, but he has also revealed that several other prominent boxers are now seeking to challenge him. Following his successful debut with Zuffa Boxing, where he defeated Regis Prograis on the Tyson Fury bill, Benn has become the mandatory challenger for Garcia's WBC welterweight title. However, Benn believes he now has a wide range of elite opponents to choose from. 'My priority is to finalize the Garcia fight, but I have numerous options,' Benn told Sky Sports. 'Many fighters, including big names, are reaching out to me for a fight. If Ryan Garcia is not interested, there are plenty of other opportunities available.' Benn, who recently avenged his only loss in a rematch against Chris Eubank Jr, has been amused by the reaction to his points victory over two-time world champion Prograis. He noted that several fighters who were previously silent are now eager to challenge him. Zuffa Boxing head Dana White is open to making a 'fun' fight between Benn and Garcia, and the organization has also signed former WBO cruiserweight champion Chris Billam-Smith. White expects to recruit more of Britain's top fighters in the coming weeks, including young, up-and-coming talent with potential to become world champions.
