Double Injury Setback for England in Women's Six Nations
England's Women's Six Nations campaign has been dealt a significant blow with the loss of Morwenna Talling and Natasha Hunt due to injury. The pair sustained leg injuries during England's 33-12 victory over Ireland at Allianz Stadium, with Talling being forced off after 43 minutes and Hunt lasting just 13 minutes after coming on as a substitute. This latest setback means that Talling, a lock, becomes the latest casualty in the second row, following the withdrawal of Zoe Stratford, Abbie Ward, and Rosie Galligan due to pregnancy. England head coach John Mitchell acknowledged the challenge posed by these injuries, stating: "With four international locks now unavailable, we may have to rely on our back-rowers to fill the gap. However, we are adaptable and will find a way to make it work." Talling and Hunt will remain with the England squad to consult with specialists before commencing their rehabilitation at their respective clubs. To bolster the squad, the RFU has confirmed that Sydney Gregson and uncapped player Haidee Head have been added to the roster ahead of the upcoming match against Scotland at Murrayfield.
