Johnston Resumes Training, Araujo's Celtic Career Possibly Over

Celtic player Alistair Johnston has made a return to training following a lengthy absence due to a hamstring injury. However, the club may have seen the last of loan defender Julian Araujo, who has suffered a setback in his recovery from a thigh problem. Johnston, a right-back for Canada, has been out of action since October but has now joined his teammates at the club's training complex. Celtic manager Martin O'Neill expressed his encouragement at Johnston's progress, stating, 'He trained with the team today, which was very encouraging. I don't think he felt any ill effects.' Araujo, on the other hand, had returned to his parent club Bournemouth to recover from his injury but has since experienced a relapse. O'Neill revealed, 'Julian re-injured himself under supervision at Bournemouth, so that was a real blow. I've only found that out today, so I don't think we will see him for the rest of the season.' The club is also dealing with another injury, as right-back Colby Donovan will miss the upcoming game against St Mirren due to a hamstring injury. O'Neill confirmed that Donovan is 'recovering well' but may also miss the Scottish Cup tie on April 19. In other news, the Green Brigade, Celtic's ultras group, will be returning to Celtic Park after a five-month ban was lifted. O'Neill welcomed their return, stating, 'The safety regulations have been sorted, and that would give us a boost, absolutely. The support is very strong, it's great.' As the title race heats up, O'Neill acknowledged that Hearts are in a favorable position, leading the table with 67 points. 'I would still rather be in Hearts' position just now. They are in the lead with games running out, that is not a bad position to be in,' he said.
