Rose Ready for Masters Challenge Without Added Pressure

Justin Rose says he feels no additional pressure to make up for last year's playoff loss at The Masters, as he makes a strong push for the title at Augusta National. A year after narrowly missing out to Rory McIlroy, Rose is once again in contention for a major victory following rounds of 70 and 69 in the first two rounds. He believes his past experiences, including three runner-up finishes at The Masters, have taught him that he can win at the tournament. Rose mixed five birdies with two bogeys to set an early target on Friday, saying it's 'very satisfying' to be on the leaderboard and that he's 'enjoying the crowd's energy.' Rose recovered from an opening-hole bogey to post four birdies in a five-hole stretch, eventually finishing five under. Fellow Englishman Tyrrell Hatton is a shot back after a six-under 66, while world No 1 Scottie Scheffler had a disappointing two-over 74 on Friday. Hatton and Rose will look to build on their strong starts as the tournament heads into the weekend.
