Preston Stages Comeback to Secure Victory Over Charlton

Preston's Brad Potts scored his second goal of the season, securing a 2-1 away win for his team over Charlton. The home side, Charlton, took the lead in the first half through Joe Rankin-Costello but were pegged back by Lewis Dobbin's equaliser for Preston before the break. Potts' 65th-minute strike proved decisive, handing Preston their first away win since January 4. Charlton started strongly, with Greg Docherty and Rankin-Costello both going close early on. However, Preston grew into the game and levelled through Dobbin's eighth league goal of the campaign. The visitors controlled the early stages of the second half and eventually took the lead through Potts' low finish. Despite a late surge from Charlton, Preston held on for a hard-earned victory. Charlton boss Nathan Jones expressed concern over his team's home form, citing a lack of conversion rate despite creating numerous chances. Preston manager Paul Heckingbottom praised his team's performance, highlighting the threats posed by Dobbin and Potts.
