McIlroy Vows to Improve for Masters Victory

Rory McIlroy acknowledged that he must elevate his game to successfully defend his Masters title after relinquishing a six-shot lead during the third round. I didn't quite have it today, but I scrambled well on the front nine and managed to turn it around with a birdie on 10. Although I'm disappointed with the bogey in the last couple of holes, I'm in the final group, which is where I want to be. I wish I had a bigger lead, but I still have a great chance. I need to be better tomorrow." McIlroy remains optimistic about his chances, citing his experience from last year's victory and the different dynamic of this year's final group. He believes playing with Cameron Young again will be comfortable for both of them, and he's not worried about the atmosphere. Sky Sports Golf's Rich Beem thinks McIlroy's resilience will help him put the disappointment of losing his lead behind him and focus on the final round.
