Dan Skelton expressed his elation at finally securing the championship trainer title, a feat he achieved after it became impossible for him to be overtaken. The Alcester-based trainer had previously been denied the title by Willie Mullins on the last day of the two preceding seasons but has now made history by becoming the first trainer to surpass £4 million in prize money. "It's truly amazing; we've worked tirelessly over the years to get close, only for Willie to edge us out at the last minute. It's fantastic to have finally accomplished it," Skelton remarked, with his current season total standing at £4,762,920 following a remarkable Grand National Festival. Skelton attributed the success to his team, stating, "It's a testament to the entire team's efforts this year. We're thrilled with everyone's performance, and the horses have been outstanding.
