Andoni Iraola to Depart Bournemouth with Three Candidates Shortlisted as Successors
Andoni Iraola, the head coach of Bournemouth, has announced his decision to leave the club at the end of the season. According to Sky Sports News, Marco Rose, the former manager of RB Salzburg and Borussia Dortmund, is among the three candidates shortlisted to succeed Iraola. Iraola's contract is set to expire in three months, and despite numerous offers to extend his stay, he has chosen to depart. The Spaniard has been a popular figure at Bournemouth since his appointment in June 2023, implementing an attacking style of football. The club is currently 11th in the Premier League table and still has a chance to qualify for Europe. Iraola will leave Bournemouth as one of the hottest coaching prospects in the Premier League, with several clubs, including Athletic Club, showing interest in him. His final home game will be against Manchester City on May 17, followed by a trip to Nottingham Forest on the last day of the season. Bournemouth has already begun searching for a new head coach, with three favored candidates on their shortlist.
