Canadian Cruiserweight Ryan Rozicki Joins Zuffa Boxing Roster
Canadian boxer Ryan Rozicki, known for his powerful punches, has inked a deal with Zuffa Boxing. Rozicki, nicknamed 'The Bruiser', is the newest addition to the company's impressive cruiserweight lineup, which already features champion Jai Opetaia, former world champion Chris Billam-Smith, and top contender Brandon Glanton. With 21 professional wins, all but one by knockout, Rozicki has established himself as a force to be reckoned with in the world of boxing. His only loss came in 2021 against Oscar Rivas, a seasoned heavyweight contender who has only been defeated by Dillian Whyte. Since then, Rozicki has been on a nine-fight winning streak, often competing in front of sold-out crowds in Nova Scotia. He has also vied for the WBC interim title, drawing with Yamil Alberto Peralta in their 2024 rematch. Rozicki's notable victories include a win over Olanrewaju Durodola, who had previously gone the distance with Richard Riakporhe and Ilunga Makabu in a world title fight. In his most recent bout, Rozicki secured a second-round knockout over Gerardo Mellado. 'I'm thrilled to start this new chapter and be part of what Zuffa is building,' Rozicki stated. 'My team has done an outstanding job in getting me to this point, and I'm ready to make a statement on this massive platform.' The details of Rozicki's Zuffa Boxing debut will be announced in the coming weeks.
