Ekitike Ruled Out for Season and World Cup with Achilles Injury

Liverpool striker Hugo Ekitike will miss the remainder of the season and the World Cup after suffering a severe Achilles injury. The 23-year-old sustained the injury during the Champions League match against Paris Saint-Germain at Anfield and was forced to be substituted in the first half. Following scans, it was confirmed that he had ruptured his Achilles tendon, which could keep him out for at least six months and possibly up to nine months. As a result, Ekitike will not participate in the World Cup with France, which is a significant blow to both the player and the national team.
