Double Injury Setback for England in Women's Six Nations

England's Women's Six Nations campaign has been dealt a significant blow with the loss of Morwenna Talling and Natasha Hunt to injury. The pair sustained leg injuries during England's 33-12 victory over Ireland at Allianz Stadium on Saturday, which was witnessed by a record-breaking crowd of 77,120. Talling, who started the match, was forced off after 43 minutes, while Hunt, who came on as a substitute, lasted just 13 minutes before being replaced due to injury. This latest setback means that Talling joins a growing list of absentees from the second row, following the withdrawal of Zoe Stratford, Abbie Ward, and Rosie Galligan due to pregnancy. England head coach John Mitchell acknowledged the challenge posed by these injuries, stating: "With the loss of four international locks, we may be forced to rely on our back-rowers for the remainder of the competition. However, we will adapt and find a way to make it work." Talling and Hunt will remain with the England squad to consult with specialists before commencing their rehabilitation at their respective clubs. To bolster the squad, the RFU has confirmed that Sydney Gregson and uncapped player Haidee Head have been added to the roster ahead of England's upcoming match against Scotland at Murrayfield on Saturday.
