Usyk Trains Joshua to Overcome Fury: 'AJ is Capable of Winning'

Oleksandr Usyk has pledged to assist Anthony Joshua in defeating Tyson Fury. Joshua, a former world champion who lost to Usyk twice, has joined Usyk's training camp and is working alongside the unbeaten, unified heavyweight champion. Usyk has welcomed Joshua into his team, stating, 'We support each other, work together, and have a great time. We've transitioned from rivals to friends.' As a two-weight, three-time undisputed world champion, Usyk has beaten Fury twice and is well-equipped to advise Joshua on how to approach the former two-time heavyweight champion. 'I believe AJ can do it, he can beat my friend Tyson Fury,' Usyk said. Usyk's promoter, Eddie Hearn, revealed that negotiations for Joshua to fight Fury this year are progressing. Usyk might even be in Joshua's corner for the fight. Hearn expressed confidence in Joshua's abilities, stating, 'Training with Usyk is already making a significant difference. The setup is incredible, and being around the best fighter in the sport is inspiring.' Usyk is preparing for his own fight against Rico Verhoeven on May 23 and is focused on the task at hand, saying, 'For me, it's just another fight. I'm a master boxer.'
