Southampton continued their ascent up the Championship table, overcoming a deficit to secure a 2-1 win against fellow playoff contenders Derby at St Mary's. Second-half goals from Leo Scienza and Taylor Harwood-Bellis negated Carlton Morris' earlier strike, extending the Saints' unbeaten streak to 17 games. The hosts began strongly, with Scienza creating an early chance for Tom Fellows, whose heavy touch prevented a shot. Derby suffered an injury setback when Bobby Clark was replaced by Oscar Fraulo in the ninth minute. Despite this, the Rams showed intent, with Max Johnston breaking clear down the left before shooting into the side netting.
