Fury Challenges Joshua to Blockbuster Showdown, Urges Him to Forget Wilder

Tyson Fury is calling on Anthony Joshua to put potential fights against other opponents, including Deontay Wilder, on the backburner and focus on their highly anticipated all-British heavyweight clash. The two former world champions have been embroiled in a long-standing rivalry, but have yet to face each other in the ring. Fury is insistent that the time for their mega-fight has finally arrived. Speaking about Joshua, Fury stated, 'I don't think he needs a tune-up bout. We should get this fight underway as soon as possible, before something unexpected happens.' Fury expressed his concerns that delays and interim fights could jeopardize their showdown, citing the numerous times their bout was supposed to take place over the past decade, only to be postponed due to various reasons. Fury, who is set to fight Arslanbek Makhmudov on Saturday, emphasized, 'You've had your warm-up fight in December, and I'm having one now. I've been out of the ring for 16 months, so let's make it happen – let's dance.' He urged Joshua to forget about Wilder, saying, 'The man is a shadow of his former self, it's sad to see. Forget about everybody else, let me get through Saturday night, and we'll make the fight happen this year.' Fury acknowledged the unpredictability of heavyweight boxing, where anything can go wrong, and emphasized his desire to face Joshua next. He also expressed his indifference to whether Joshua attends his upcoming fight at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, saying, 'If he comes, fair play; if he doesn't, I understand. Everyone does what they must for themselves, especially in business.'
