Stoke Bounce Back to Earn Draw Against Blackburn

Adam Forshaw netted his first goal since February 2025, scoring only his third in ten years, as Blackburn moved closer to Championship survival with a 1-1 draw against 10-man Stoke. Forshaw gave Rovers the lead in the 21st minute with a beautifully curled shot from 20 yards, following a counter-attack. However, Stoke equalized in the 56th minute through Crystal Palace loanee Jesurun Rak-Sakyi. The match ended with Stoke a man down after Ash Phillips was sent off for a second bookable offense. Despite the draw, Blackburn manager Michael O'Neill was pleased with the point, stating that every point is crucial in their survival bid. Stoke manager Mark Robins acknowledged the fans' disappointment but emphasized the need for patience and unity in their journey towards improvement.
