Fury Calls on Joshua to Ditch Wilder and Commit to Blockbuster Showdown

Tyson Fury has called on Anthony Joshua to put aside potential bouts with Deontay Wilder and focus on their highly anticipated all-British heavyweight clash. Fury and Joshua have been longstanding rivals, but they have yet to face each other in the ring. According to Fury, their mega-fight cannot be delayed any further. Speaking about Joshua, Fury stated, "I don't think he needs a tune-up bout. We should schedule our fight as soon as possible, in case something unexpected happens. There have been numerous occasions over the past decade when our fight was supposed to take place, but it got postponed due to various reasons." Fury emphasized that both fighters have had recent bouts, with Joshua fighting Jake Paul in December and Fury set to face Arslanbek Makhmudov on Saturday. "You've had your warm-up fight in December, and I'm having one now. I've been out of the ring for 16 months, so let's make it happen and get ready to fight," Fury declared. He urged Joshua to forget about Wilder, saying, "The man is a shadow of his former self, and it's sad to see. Let's focus on our fight this year, and I'm willing to make it happen as soon as possible." Fury acknowledged the unpredictability of heavyweight boxing, where anything can go wrong, and emphasized that he wants the fight with Joshua to happen next. While Joshua watched Wilder defeat Derek Chisora, Fury is unsure if Joshua will attend his upcoming fight at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday. "If he comes, that's great, but if he doesn't, I understand. Everyone does what's best for themselves, especially in business," Fury said. He reiterated his desire to face Joshua next and is confident that they both want the fight to happen.
