Gary Player Offers Support to Tiger Woods but Urges Caution Behind the Wheel
Tiger Woods has received an outpouring of support from golfing legends Gary Player and Jack Nicklaus as he continues to focus on his health and recovery. Woods, a 15-time major champion, is currently not competing due to health issues and a recent car accident. Gary Player expressed sympathy for Woods' ongoing pain but emphasized the importance of prioritizing his safety, particularly when it comes to driving. Player advised Woods to consider hiring a chauffeur to avoid potential risks associated with driving while taking medication. Jack Nicklaus also offered words of encouragement, stating that golf needs Woods and would love to have him back competing. Augusta National chairman Fred Ridley confirmed that they support Woods' decision to prioritize his health and well-being. Woods has been struggling with injuries and has only participated in a limited number of tournaments since November 2020.
