Dillian Whyte believes Anthony Joshua is rushing back into the ring too quickly after a tumultuous period, suggesting a bout against Deontay Wilder would be a sensible next step. Joshua's last fight was in December, followed by a car accident in Nigeria that claimed the lives of two close friends. Wilder has expressed interest in facing Joshua, who is expected to fight Tyson Fury later this year in a highly anticipated all-British heavyweight clash. Whyte, however, thinks Joshua should allow himself more time to recover, citing the potential risks of facing top opponents like Wilder and himself too soon. Whyte, who suffered a first-round knockout defeat to Moses Itauma in August, admitted his performance was not reflective of his true abilities and has no plans to retire, despite having fought only three times since 2022.
