According to Sky Sports F1 pundit Karun Chandhok, Red Bull needs to make a significant signing from another Formula 1 team to stem the flow of senior personnel leaving the organization. The recent departure of Gianpiero 'GP' Lambiase, who will join McLaren in 2028, has highlighted the issue. Lambiase follows other high-profile exits, including Rob Marshall, Will Courtenay, Adrian Newey, and Jonathan Wheatley.

Chandhok believes that new team boss Laurent Mekies and the Austrian hierarchy must address the 'brain drain' and make the team more attractive to top talent. He suggests that attracting a big-name signing could help draw other skilled individuals to the team.

The comments come as Red Bull struggles in the current season, sitting sixth in the Constructors' Championship with just 16 points. The team will resume the season in Miami in two weeks' time.
